E-Notification is a great tool to constantly monitor key performance indicators and provide notification when alarms are triggered, either to my phone or by email, which frees up my time for other jobs. It is easy to set up alarm points, dead bands, and time duration.

Working for, and as a consultant to the Monroe Power Plant of DTE Energy, I have had occasion to use this product and to work with ECG in developing additional applications for our generating station. It is a very significant product that allows us to maximize generation while managing such effects of fuel quality as slagging and fouling. The product allows us to manage, and shift, the blend of coals we burn to optimize firing conditions and energy generation.

The Protection Tagging System has been a great tool to effectively manage tagging, provide a historian of previous tag outs and templates, and be a beneficial training aid, all while keeping safety at the top of the list of importance.

E-Notification is an extremely effective tool for monitoring PI data. I use E-Notification to alert me via text message when generators trip or synchronize to the electrical system.

The RBC system has been useful for monitoring pulverizer performance. The Engineering Consultants Group have knowledgeable, experienced professionals and provide proactive support monitoring and analyzing our RBC data.

One of the best tools that I have ever used. We first purchased this software in 2002 and are still using it. This tool enables technicians, engineers, and executives to receive alerts trends, and reports in near real-time or at scheduled intervals. This is extremely important and beneficial to the decision makers. The Customer Support is also top notch.

RBC identifies looseness in the journals and damage caused by fires that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Interface is user friendly for the average user. Administration and configuration is very simple. The ability to create generic and group accounts has helped immensely.

ECG was able to take PI data gathered from multiple sources and create meaningful and intuitive graphics for our operators, as well as providing “future” data so that operations can be more proactive in operating the units and less reactive to changing fuel conditions. By showing what will be coming out of the burner in 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours’ time, operators have the information needed to run their mills and burners effectively.

We use E-Notification in a nuclear environment to allow system engineers to automate reporting their daily parameters as well as mid- and long-term performance. Most have set points positioned to alert them way in advance of control room annunciation, to be proactive rather than responsive. We have found the product easy to integrate with OSI, easy to implement through most SMS carriers, and ECG's built-in help to be phenomenal. Seldom have we had to contact them, but they've always exceeded expectations when we did.

The E-Notification application is a key technology in our Mobile Work Force effort. End users manage and configure their E-Notification accounts to be alerted to process deviations, startup and shutdown alerts, and to receive triggered and scheduled reports.

The E-Notification product is the "core" of our internal and external notification strategy. The application has been in service, at our generating sites for over 10 years without any problems.

National grid is using E-Notification as an enterprise solution. Server Interface Monitoring, Daily Summary, Current Operating Condition, Critical Equipment Trends, Daily Load and Unit I/S O/S reports as well as Master Fuel Trip, CEM, and Gas Turbine Ops notifications are just a few from our arsenal of solutions.

After our recent purchase of the system, we have already discovered its worth with problem mills and plan to use it regularly to improve the run time of our mills. The support has been great as we’ve been able to call on the staff at ECG to review our test results and help us understand their meaning.

DTE Energy contracted ECG Inc. (Akron, OH) to create a database for all of our equipment and instrumentation at our power plant. The database captures all aspects of each component, its calibration records, and operating history. The attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service provided by ECG Inc. was outstanding. They understood our needs and delivered an "state-of-the-art" product. We will recommend and continue to do future projects with ECG Inc.

I’m VERY pleased with Glance. The interface is intuitive – most of our users require no training at all to start using. Menus and symbols are clear and easy to understand. Implementing Glance has resulted in cost savings. We spend less time supporting our users with Glance. Our users can access PI pages from tablets or phones.

Implementing the RBC system has been a tremendous tool for the coal mills at our plants. The information that can be obtained from such a simple and quick test has already proved extremely beneficial for planning repairs ahead of time instead of waiting for catastrophic failure. The staff at ECG has been a huge help in looking over the test data, in a timely manner, to help determine problem areas and fixes to those problems so that the mills can continue to run as efficiently as possible.

I am an IT Specialist and I support this product, though I say that lightly. This product has been no trouble whatsoever. We have been through 1 upgrade and the support that we received from ECG was fantastic. We currently have about 60 users from power plant personnel to corporate engineers who use this product. I can speak for the installation, implementation and support of this product, and I would highly recommend it.

The RBC system has helped us to be proactive in repairing our mills. The on-line monitoring by ECG has provided expert diagnostic capabilities to our fleet, saving us unscheduled down time. 

Predict-It APR fills a void within AGL, the ability to monitor the plant and identify any slight deviation in the plant operating parameters. This ability ensures AGL and the engineers the earliest possible warning of a potential plant failure or system loss. Ultimately assisting the asset managers to reduce forced outages and increase plant availability.

AGL relies on the Predict-It APR software to meet the requirements of the business. With budgets being reduced and maintenance optimized. Predict It APR software is critical to AGL to ensure that the early failure modes are identified and maintenance can then be identified in an organized and planned manner, optimizing the maintenance effort.

Great Application to be used for monitoring and reporting real time data based on PI and directly to your email and mobile devices. As an Engineer, I found E- Notification very helpful in daily process by giving me the luxury to determine early failures due to ability to set limits on PI tags and able to trend them using PI-Processbook, data link directly from my mail client.

This is a very valuable tool for the Peaker fleet. Monitoring unmanned, remote Peaking Generators with E-Notification has helped increase our reliability.

Great tool. We use it to trigger daily excel reports. Quick snapshot of daily averages to tell us whether we are winning or losing the game, saves processing time, great for large excel files reports that need to be sent to decision makers. E-notifications are good if you are a process owner, tells you when you are deviating from design, great tool if you are in the outage team and the unit trips, you will automatically receive an email, sms, page... Customer support is great and the code is rigid. I have been using it for 6 years and never broke down.

We integrated the Accutrack with our online analyzer. It is amazing the benefits that we are getting from the integration. Accutrack gives us the ability to track coal quality through the silos. We imposed limits on the silos top layer which allows us to suspend fuel additives in case coal characteristics change dramatically. Accutrack is definitely a good solution that allowed us to track the coal from the pile to the mills. Like always, technical support is great as well as response time. The interface is easy and simple to use and color coded. We are looking into getting the upgrade, which will give us a silo models that takes rat holing into effect. We currently own a FIFO silo model.
